President & CEO
Agility Technologies NA, LLC
Cory Taylor is a seasoned technology executive, entrepreneur, and systems integrator with over 30 years of experience spanning telecommunications, managed IT services, and electronic security. His career is defined by a consistent ability to identify where technology is heading — and to build organizations capable of delivering on that vision before the market catches up.
Cory serves as President & CEO of Agility Technologies NA, LLC, a managed services provider focused on cybersecurity, VoIP/UCaaS, and IT infrastructure solutions, and Agility Security Solutions, PLLC, a licensed Illinois alarm contractor agency specializing in life-safety systems, access control, surveillance, and structured cabling. Together, these organizations deliver integrated technology and security solutions across Illinois and the Midwest.
His career began in telecommunications in 1996 with Cellular One, followed by expansion into the alarm industry and ISP sector. In 2001, he founded an internet service provider that evolved into a wholesale managed modem platform — a business that culminated in successful asset exits, including subscriber transitions to EarthLink. After a period of consulting, he launched Agility Technologies in 2008, building a multi-division organization that has grown steadily on a foundation of operational discipline and recurring revenue.
Cory is recognized for systems-driven leadership and a focus on building scalable, efficient organizations. Current initiatives include the development of proprietary PSA and billing platforms designed specifically for MSP and telecom convergence — a reflection of his belief that the tools the industry relies on have not kept pace with how modern managed service providers actually operate.
Through The Technologist, Cory brings the same analytical rigor to public writing that he applies in his operational work — translating complex technology and business strategy into clear, actionable insight for leaders who need to act on it.

Technology is complex enough without adding unnecessary jargon. Every article is written to be understood by a smart person who is not a specialist in the topic.
Strong views, loosely held — and always grounded in evidence. When the facts change, the analysis changes.
No vendor relationships, no analyst firm agenda, no sponsored content. The Technologist exists to serve its readers, not to sell them anything.
